Wakeboard Australia

Australians best Wakeboarders hit the water in South Australia’s part of the Murray River for the 2015 Nationals. Just under one hundred wakeboarders battled for the title of Australian Champion at Renmark on the Wednesday the 8th to Saturday the 11th April2015. Renmark is a massive wakeboarding/ water ski town in the heart of South Australia. Renmark has hosted the Wakeboard Australia Nationals twice in the last 10 years and with the course right in front of Club Renmark, this luxurious location for the 2015 Wakeboard Australia Nationals was massive with perfect weather and conditions for the 4 day event. The last few years have cemented Australia as the home for the best wakeboarding talent in the world and this was Australia’s premier event.

We were spoiled watching the world’s best Wakeboarders, while chilling at the famous Club Renmark right on the edge of the mighty Murray watching Australia’s best shred and soar off the massive Master Crafts boats wakes. This was the best display of extreme sport experienced in Australia this summer and was the ideal opportunity to see Master Craft team rider Tony Iacconi dominate the world’s best behind the mighty Master Craft XSTAR and become the 2015 Australian Nationals champion.

Competition was hot in both the men’s and women’s age and open classes with current world champions taking on challengers from all over Australia. This was one of the best events to get the selectors attention for a place on the Australian team at the 2015 World Championships in Mexico later this year. The State teams were fired up to battle for the chance to take the Wakeboard Australia Team trophy home with NSW repeating last year’s performances just taking the trophy out of the home state South Australian hands.

What was delivered at the 2015 Renmark nationals was world class performances in every class with stand up pass after stand up pass putting immense pressure on every class’s top seed. Check out the results to see who the 2015 Australian Nationals champions are.
